dc.description.abstract | A study of Drum Brake for various parameters such as Force output, Torque output, Lining Pressure Variation, Stopping Distance Equation Generation based on the assumptions that there is perfect contact at the interface between the brake drum and the lining blocks, the friction coefficient is constant element is used in the two-dimensional model of the drum brake for simplicity and economy. The friction coefficient versus the brake factor and the location of the lining pressure are calculated. An equation was generated for stopping distance calculations for vehicles. Than on the above calculation the modification and analysis of components is done to get the optimized component. The purpose of this report is to establish a uniform procedure for determination and classification of brake effectiveness for commercial vehicle brakes and to determine a sufficiently model for “S-cam foundation brake”. | en |
