dc.description.abstractAs more people are adopting Virtual machine rather then traditional hardware infrastructure there will be chance of occurring issues like Load Balancing, Fault Tolerance, System maintenance and Security issues. To overcome from this issues it need migration of virtual machines. There are many approaches are available for migration but most of them are facing issues like high downtime and Security. In most of approaches virtual machine is transferred in plain text so attacker can capture those private data and use it. To overcome from this issue it need better encryption standard to provide communication channel security. In existing Solution encryption is generating overhead to CPU and effect the downtime of migration. In proposed system we use LVM snapshot technique to capture the virtual machine and then perform other task on it so live system wont affected by migration process. To overcome from downtime and security issue we proposed new approach where we use LZ4 compression to reduce the size of virtual machine and ECIES for encryption to enhance security. Both the solutions are performed in parallel processing that will maximum core performance and reduce time. We create this approach for public cloud and it can be used for same data centre or geographically different data centre from the same vendor. As we are applying this approach it will reduce the downtime by 22 percentage and harden the communication channel security.en_US
