Abstract: | This project is focused on to design motor and converter system for ceiling fan ap plication Conventional Single phase induction Motors used in ceiling fan application impart low efficiency ranging from 50 to 55%. Improvement in energy efficiency may result in to huge energy saving looking to the large volume of ceiling fan application in domestic as well as industry.it is very essential in particularly low power rating application as conventional motors offers low efficiency. Usage of permanent magnet improves efficiency of electric motor as it is loss free excitation. It is an objective to simulate and design low rating low voltage permanent magnet motor and com- patible converter. Proper materials will be selected, appropriate design variables will be assumed and complete design procedure will be finalized to meet required performance. Performance estimation will also be carried out. Design of motor will be validated with use of motor design simulation software. Simulation and Design of Converter will be carried out according to data of motor designed. |
