dc.description.abstractIn present context of extensive use of Renewable energy, solar energy has distinct advan- tages over other forms of renewable energy. One of the application which has potentially emerged is water pumping particularly in India, where agricultural is dependent of water irrigation. Use of solar energy to drive PV solar pumps has gained tremendous momentum. However the technology used is of solar PV drive BLDC motor with electronic commutation to drive the pump. The combined efficiency of whole systems is very less. The potential improvements can be done to increase the system efficiency by developing high efficiency BLDC motor having MPPT feature. With the whole this system efficiency can be enhanced. The operation of permanent magnet brush less DC motor motor requires rotor-position sensing for controlling the winding currents. The sensor less control required estimation of rotor position from the voltage and current signals, which can be easily sensed. Here Brush less DC motor drive is utilized as the load of a Photo- voltaic system with Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) controller. Perturbation and Observation (P and O) based approach for MPPT controller is presented. To develop sensor less control method for PMBLDC motor PWM(SVPWM/SPWM) method presented and which is advantageous in cost ,maintenance so it is effected on whole system's efficiency. The PMBLDCC drive is fed from solar PV system.en_US
