A community cloud in computing is a collaborative effort in which infrastructure is shared between several organizations from a specific community with common concerns (security, compliance, jurisdiction, etc.), whether managed internally or by a third-party and hosted internally or externally. This is controlled and used by a group of organizations that have shared interest. Resource Management is big concern in community cloud as there are no of users that are not using the resources Termed as inactive users. This research work is to intended to identify the inactive users in community cloud. Identification of inactive users and the resources owned by these users can effectively managed in order to prevent the performance degradation. For identification of inactive users machine learning algorithm i.e. decision tree algorithm(ID3) is used which help in classification of users as active and inactive users based on the user centric parameters such as login time ,user last interaction time, idle time, no of processors used ,assigned memory etc. Results and conclusion stated in the thesis proves that overall performance can be enhanced by avoiding wastage of resources.en_US
