Abstract: The world is now moving to the era of wireless, it is becoming essential to keep up the quality of wireless signals. The modulation of the signal is the key aspect in wireless technology. The quality of modulated signal is the key parameter to ensure that the function of receiver and transmitter are as per the expectation. This parameter is known as Error Vector Magnitude (EVM). The work done here is to improve the Error Vector Magnitude. The thesis demonstrate three techniques to improve EVM, but the major focus is on Local Oscillator Calibration. The RF chain is one of the complicated section of the transceiver. The Thesis also concentrate on the parameters which affect the Error Vector Magnitude.
