The project aims at providing a customer friendly solution for POS (Point of Service) application. This integration helps accumulate data from POS application at different locations under one centralized cloud system. Oracle’s product development and maintenance process provides a secure environment for product development and maintenance which includes set of security mechanisms into it which is known as Oracle Software Security Assurance(OSSA).OSSA is responsible to make customer data secure. From base product to its release OSSA plays different roles to provide security to customer. Here I work with Store Inventory Management product which integrates with Merchandising, Point Of Service and Warehouse system. SIM deals with store inventory positions, reserving inventory for layaway, managing customer orders and cross store inventory look. As a part of OSSA team and my project work I deal with Security Testing of SIM from Base Product to the release of it. This Security Testing will identify all the flaws of the application based on OWASP top vulnerabilities. This security testing process includes Architecture Risk Analysis, Threat Assessment, Security Goals, Secure Design, Secure Coding, Ethical Hacking, Remediation and Compliance. This Security Testing process is used for desktop, web and mobile application also. For any applications it test the client side, server side and webs services side also. That basically includes forensic analysis, reverse engineering and dynamic memory analysis into it. These everything has been done to give secure environment to the product from its base phase to its release and also give the proper satisfaction to customer's requirements.en_US
