Abstract: | IL 15 is a multifunctional cytokines which works as a potent proinflammatory cytokine and an important role in inflammation and autoimmune disease. It acts as a survival factor and inhibits spontaneous apoptosis in T cells, B cells and NK cells by increasing expression of different antiapoptotic proteins. The issue of stability and its half-life are one the major drawback and to overcome be overcomethese issues our laboratory we were designed chimeric protein IL 15 to improve the half-life of IL-15 with the hope of higher bioavailability by covalently linking IL-15 through the fusion of IL 15 to IgG2a Fc region. It is a dimer, more stable, high life span and generates good memory compare to native IL 15. We induced tumor model in mice and after that we were injected our MM chimeric IL 15. We observed that tumor was regressing slowly. Hence our chimeric IL 15 bears the potential of cancer immunotherapy. |
