Abstract: Bearing is most widely used component nowadays in industries. It is very common to and required bearing as per the specification from catalogue. Due to some specialized reason, safety and confidentiality, it is necessary to design a linear ball bearing & testing of it as per specific requirement for the present purpose. The aim of present work to is to design test setup for specified linear ball bearing for highly confidential task. Linear ball bearing, which is considered as the heart of the MTM (Mobile Transfer Machine), a minute variation in bearing, will make the whole MTM fail, so it is very crucial component & it is necessary to test it from all the aspects. Therefore, design of test setup possesses the unique features. The main objective of work is to design test up for testing static & dynamic load caring capacity of linear ball bearing. Conceptual design of linear ball bearing test setup as per the given criteria by Authorities is the main moto. For specially designed linear ball bearing, the test setup is also to be design with the basic consideration, which involves the design of hydraulic cylinders of different capacity, Load cell, spherical roller bearing, and moving plate, pressure plate, roller, roller pin, Support Roller Shaft etc. It is also necessary to analyse these assembly components so FEA analysis of critical component .Selection of load cell and its analysis is performed and results of which are within the specified limits. FEA analysis of critical component required.
