Web Reporting Tool

Abstract

In modern era of software development process, intelligent automation is in trend. Be- cause automation reduce the users effort and save time. Automation is the process of

connecting different or dissimilar systems or software in a manner that they behave as

self-regulating entities. Usually this is done so that difficult and tough task finished eas- ily and save the time. Now-A-Days set-top box (STB) is basic need in every house, so

user expect the best result from that. To done automation intelligently developers have to check every single possibility where automation is possible and for single possibility they have to write many test cases. Result of test cases play major role to done things smoothly. Up to now it was manual process to check result of every test case in logs. This web application is mainly developed to generate the report of every test case’s result at one place. Test case is tested by automated testing tool like AutoMOTO (ARRIS internal tool for set-top box testing), TestHarness etc. Reports can be viewed using web browser or exported as excel, pdf, Image, etc. The tool is comprised of multiple microservices and each microservices perform different job. Microservices is the back-end of tool. UI module of the tool is responsible to render the reports in graphically rich formates. This application can be deployed easily on Windows or Linux server.
