dc.description.abstract | Todays' Healthcare systems have high complexity and cost, which can be decreased through health records and insurance agencies. These distinctive territories of health- care can be improved by blockchain innovation. Blockchain was first used for distributed record of money related exchanges that did not depend upon a central authority or bank and credit organization. Using blockchain breakthrough, improvements can be seen in transactions involving medical records, insurance billing, legitimate issues, and smart contracts. Blockchain innovation has the incredible features of permanence, security, and distributed database of transactions. One fundamental element of blockchain innovation in healthcare professionals is that they can reform medical database interoperability. This helps to enhance the access to a variety of medical records, device tracking, prescription database, and hospitals assets including the complete life cycle of a device within the blockchain infrastructure. Patient's medical history is the essential need for proper madi- cation. Blockchain innovation takes the possibility to dramatically enhance the healthcare services framework. In this dissertation work, I have studied and analyzed various con- cepts to fill the current gaps of the healthcare system through blockchain technology. I have explored various frameworks and tools to implement and measure the performance of the healthcare system such as hyperledger fabric, composer, docker container, hyper- ledger caliper, Wireshark network capture. My work also includes the proposal of an access control policy algorithm for data accessibility to health providers and simulation of the environment to implement the hyperledger based EHR sharing system that uses the concept of chaincode. Performance metric in blockchain network like latency, throughput, RTT, security. have also been optimised for achieving better results. Compared to the traditional healthcare system which uses client-server architecture, the proposed system uses blockchain to improve efficiency, and security of healthcare system. The same has been proved from the result obtained. | en_US |
