Automation & Security Testing Of Oracle Point Of Sale System

Abstract

The project will introduce the customer friendly solution with POS(Point of Sale Sys- tem) application.POS is a mobile and Desktop-based sale application that helps merchant to calculate the amount owed by the customer and prepare invoice for the customer.In centralized cloud system,POS will integrate with different other application.For product development and maintenance process in Oracle there is secure environment know as Or- acle Software Security Assurance(OSSA) which includes all the security mechanisms into it. To make customer data secure OSSA is responsible.To provide security to customer, OSSA plays different role from base product to its release.I have work here with Point Of Sale System product which integrates with Customer Relationship, Order Manage- ment. POS deals maily with sale - tender transaction, extended transaction, managing customer orders and inventory specific.Base product to release of POS I wil be dealing with Security Testing as a part of OSSA team and my project work concern.Based on OWASP top vulnerabilities all the aws of the application will identify through this Security Testing. Ethical Hacking, Secure Coding, Compliance,Secure Design,Architecture Risk Analysis,Security Goals,Remediation and Threat Assessment etc included in this security testing process.For web,desktop and mobile application also we can use this se- curity testing process,also test to the server side,client side and web service side for any application.Dynamic analysis,forensic analysis and reverse-engineering mainly included into it.To give secure environment to the product from its base phase to its release phase this all process followed.And also there is focus on automation testing with writing scripts to overcome manual tester effort.Both will give the proper satisfaction of customer's re- quirements.
