Analyzing and Automating Manual Activities within Oracle Retail Environment Security

Abstract

The project titled Analyzing and Automating Manual Activities within Oracle Retail Environment Security is associated with the Oracle Retail products applications and the server technologies used by the Development Support Services team of the industry. The aim of this project was to reduce the tremendous amount of workload of the DSS, by contributing to some aspects of the responsibilities of the team. Consequently, one part of this project aims to conduct product deployments and implementations on specific environment and architectural platforms in a phased manner, covering each possible de- tail at every step, while strictly following the appropriate installation guide and provide feedback to make the entire process simple and hassle-free, for customers and clients who are not very familiar with database and server technologies. So company requires to deploy all the products over all the servers. All the products uses various components like database, dashboards, etc. Because of these reasons it is very difficult for a human to sit and install each product on each machine as per the customer requirements. Then Automation comes into picture. Automation process helps in all these process to success- fully deploy the product and run it successfully. It saves a lot of time, money and efforts of human.The second part of the project involves the development of automation tools for the DSS team, for various operations. The increasing complexity and time consum- ing process of software development phases demands the use of automated software tools.
