Retail industry forms one of the largest businesses in the world. The profit for the retail outlets (both physical and online) is mainly dependent on the choice of the Consumers on what they are going to buy, and the preference of Customers on Products can and will change from time to time. With the introduction of Online Shopping, the consumers have now got a large variety of options to choose from and they don’t have to travel to big cities to purchase something they desire. This has made almost all the retail players in market to foresee what might be the Customers’ demands soon and prepare their stockpile accordingly. The point of sale (POS) is the time and place where a retail transaction is completed. At the point of sale, the merchant would calculate the amount owed by the customer and indicate the amount and may prepare an invoice for the customer and indicate the options for the customer to make payment. It is also the point at which a customer makes a payment to the merchant in exchange for goods or after provision of a service. After receiving payment, the merchant may issue a receipt for the transaction, which is usually printed, but is increasingly being dispensed with or sent electronically. POS Product is a point of service application (POS). Retail POS is a service application that not only provides the capabilities to carry out day- to-day transactions and conduct daily store activities but also services like customer management, built in data analytics using 120 reports, built in inventory management, order management, cross store/country returns etc. Before the product is launched to the market, the functional and non- functional testing has to be done on the product. Testing in the part of SDLC and it is better to introduce testing in the early stage of SDLC phases, so it helps to identify the defects in the early stage & try to avoid the bugs finding & get resolve in the last critical stage. Because of the disadvantages of manual testing such as time consumption, less accuracy and limited scope, the Oracle Retail Global Unit has moved to the automation of testing. The objective of the automation is to gain the higher accuracy in lesser time, repeatability, reusability, reliability and programmability and it even reduces the Effort of manual tester in comparison with the time being consumed by them.en_US
