Abstract: | The retail industry is one of the largest businesses all over the world. It is highly de- pendent on its Customers. The profits for the retail outlets are fundamentally dependent on their Customers’ demands and choices. With the advent of online shopping, their options have only increased exponentially. This has made almost all the retail players in the market to foresee what might be the Customers’ demands in the near future and prepare their stockpile while being in touch with current market trends. Planning and optimizing helps the retailers to make beneficial decisions based on future insight and cur- rent market trends. This allows retailers to manage their inventory based on the market, location, season and trends. This is the emerging era of technology in which the cloud has come-up as one of the most used platforms. Cloud has several advantages like re- sources sharing, cost-effectiveness, platform independence and many more. Oracle Cloud is one of the major Cloud platforms that provides cloud solution for various platforms (IAAS, SAAS, PAAS) across the globe. RPAS stands for Retail Predictive Application Server which is used for planning. There are lots of client applications which are based on RPAS. RPAS Edge is one of the rich web-based clients for the RPAS which is developed using Oracle JET. We had developed dashboards to monitor and analyze the information related defects using Oracle JET and Oracle Apex. We had also worked on the build and deployment process of RPAS Edge using continuous integration tools like Jenkins and Version Control System like SVN. We had also implemented automation scripts using JAVA Script and selenium web driver. |
