Recently, IEEE 802.11 have started one task group for investigation as well as to deliver next generation WLAN technologies for dense deployment which con- tain large number of access point and stations. This proposal is fullfiled by IEEE 802.11ax amendment. For this new amendment high-effifiiency WLAN (HEW) is also used . The significant changes are made on PHY layer and MAC layer . PHY layer is defined by Modulation Technique , Coding rate etc. In WLAN standard 802.11ax OFDMA and MU-MIMO in uplink are the big features of the 802.11ax. Becuase of OFDMA verification of Phy layer is one of the challenging task because OFDMA contains RU index also. This new amendment should be backward compat- ible also with legacy standards. PHY layer frame format are changed for backward compatibility. This report summarizes the WLAN standard IEEE 802.11ax activities (on PHY layer) in signficant changes and verification of the most important features proposed in the 802.11ax amendment. Many new changes are taken place on Physi- cal layer (PHY) and MAC layer. It is very necessary to verify new changes on PHY layer because of beam forming, OFDMA, MU-MIMO on uplink as well as downlink.en_US
