Abstract: Present work discusses about design and analysis of toricone operating in creep range. Toricone selected for design and analysis is used to connect upper and lower reactor. As diameter of upper reactor and lower reactor are different, conical head is selected to connect both the reactors and for connection flange is provided at junction part. Design steps of each component (conical head, knuckle radius, flange) are carried out as per ASME guide line standard nozzles provided at cone part according requirement. One analysis is there to show the effect of knuckle radius provided at the junction part of cone to flange and it is compared with the cone to flange junction without knuckle radius part. As Component is operating in creep range creep analysis is carried out to show the creep effect and creep damage on the component. Manual calculation for creep is carried out as per API guideline. Static structural analysis is performed to check stress induced in component. From the analysis creep damage is calculated as per API guide line for level 1 assessment. Level 1 assessment with FEA result and manual calculation are compared while calculating service life from screening curve.
