Abstract: Moulded Case Circuit Breakers(MCCB) are electromechanical devices which protect the circuit from overload and short circuit. The rating of current varies from 16 Amps to 1250Amps. MCCB is a modular product, which consists of pole, mechanism, release and final integration of all the three modules or components. The release has also two variants. i.e. Thermal Magnetic Release (TMR) and Micro-Processor Release (MPR). For the effective production of MCCB the production line is to be developed, which includes different fixtures, automation setups, conveyors, pallets, feeders, mounting plates etc. In MCCB the upper mechanism checking or testing is necessary because mechanism gives us operating on, off and trip facility so for that the MCCB production required some special purpose machine for the testing of mechanism which taken care that the proper mechanism is used in MCCB. The production line is automated so that the production rate increased. The production line includes number of equipment. All the equipment is required for maintaining or minimizing the cycle time at each station. Production line is to be designed to full fill deliverable of cost, quality and delivery to need customer requirement, new MCCB line has to meet KPI, production capacity of 20000 MCCB per month with cycle time of 60 seconds. Key features will be assembly with lean concept using pokayoke in fixture design to avoid missing of parts and automated testing setups to verify the product. Key Words: Automated production line, Poka-Yoke, Fixtures, Automation setups, Conveyors, Pallets, Feeders, Mounting plates etc.
