Abstract: | The present work focuses on improvement in external accessories of MCCB. MCCB give pro- tection to device against faults like short circuit and overload. MCCB can make, breaks, and carry the rated current. Accessories are added to the product to increase the automation and ease of operation in MCCB. There are so many products in the market to use but if it is provided with proper accessories, it will enhance the product feature and that may lead to customer satisfaction. The combination of product must work simultaneously with or without accessories. By using accessories, the cost, quality and reliability will be enhanced, so this product will lead to high customer satisfaction to company. Stored Energy Electrically Operated Mechanism is mounted on MCCB, to remotely control working operation of MCCB i.e. on, off/reset and trip. SE-EOM consists of motor, Sun and planetary gear train, rack and pinion, spring, ratchet-pawl, cam- latch,SE-EOM can operate the MCCB from the control room. During 204 voltage motorized operator is not operate and spring is not getting charged. The aim is to actuate motorized operator at 204 voltage, charge the spring to store the energy and reset the MCCB. And it has been done by modification is done on the gear train. Gear ratio has been changed in the existing gear train design in order to complete the operation. Rotary operator is used when the MCCB is installed in panels. Rotary operator works on the principle of scotch-yoke mechanism. The mechanism of this accessory is directly attached to the MCCB and converts rotation motion into linear motion. The design of insert used in ROM i.e. E-Plate having very strong pulling out strength and also having high tightening torque, so that design of insert can be changed, in such a way that it cannot affect the functionality of ROM. so that, design can be change in such way that it does not affect the functionality of ROM. |
