The current study is related to savonius wind turbine. Savonius turbine is a vertical axis wind turbine which can be used for small-scale stand-alone power generation or water pumping. The main objective of the current study is to measure the pressure on the surface of the static savonius model. To measure the pressure on the surface of savonius model it is required to build an open jet wind tunnel type test section for the experiment. To measure the pressure on the surface of the static savonius model uniform flow is required in test-section. In the laboratory, Centrifugal blower is already available which provides uniform flow. To test the savonius model it is required to convert the exit flow of centrifugal blower into an open jet type wind tunnel with the help of the plenum chamber and flow capturing device. Pressure measurement has been done by installing pressure taps on the mid-plane of the savonius model. Pressure measurement has been done at various angles of attack.en_US
