dc.description.abstract | Moulded Case Circuit Breakers (MCCB) is short circuit protecting device which is used for short circuit and overload protection. It is used in Industries, Commercial, Institutional buildings, Electrical Machines protection against short circuit condition and overload condition. This project focuses L&T MCCB having current rating from 20 A to 100 A. The scope of this project is to improve a reliability of MCCB in terms of thermal (overload) performance in minimum setting of thermal knob as per IEC 60947-2 standard. L&T MCCB has (0.8- 1)×Iƞ variable setting of the overload release i.e. 100 A rated MCCB can be de-rated to 80 A for overload protection at site. | en_US |
