dc.description.abstract | The air circuit breaker is a switching device that is used to produce and maintain current under normal conditions and to break current under abnormal conditions. Short circuit analysis is carried out in order to know the behavior of the circuit breaker at the time of switching, contact split, after arc extinction, and to know the short circuit efficiency of the circuit breaker. Due to the short circuit current, a greater amount of destructive energy is emitted in the form of heat and magnetic force. The goal of this project is to boost the short-circuit capability of the air circuit breaker in compliance with IEC 60947 (Part-I and Part-II). On this basis, increase the breaking capacity of the air circuit breaker to provide greater safety at higher levels. | en_US |
