dc.description.abstract | Energy produced using PV systems is becoming quite popular nowadays due to increased load demand and availability of solar energy. Therefore the Penetration of the Photovoltaic systems in the Power Grid is increasing day by day. When this DG is connected with the grid there arises a situation in which the DG continues to energize a part of the utility section which is no longer connected to utility grid. This Phenomena is termed as Islanding. Islanding is hazardous to both equipments connected as load and the person fixing the line and has to be detected as early as possible. In this Project Islanding and its various types are discussed. Simulation of a hybrid Islanding detection technique is implemented in Simulink. The Detection Scheme is tested upon clause 12(6) of CEA Guidelines and also inferred from IEEE 1547 Standards. | en_US |
