Abstract: Circuit Breakers are one of the most critical components in any electrical systems as well as sub-systems. Testing of such critical components requires a system that is accurate enough to yield satisfying results. Manual intervention and manipulation in such test setup lead to the damage that is beyond control. This is one of the main reasons to incorporate Automation in Test setups. Over travel, Contact Force and No nal stop being initial and mandatory tests for every circuit breaker, post mechanism assembly, they require some special attention in order to prevent number of Rework cycles and catastrophic damage to the systems that the breaker will be further incorporated into. Although the test sequence being automatic, the equipment needs to be handled by an operator to carry out certain set of operations which increases cycle time and manipulations in test sequence. To prevent this, an automatic test bench need to be designed and implemented to test circuit breakers, which will improve the teseting quality as well as reduce the cycle time and thus, improve the productivity.
