dc.description.abstract | Composite materials made from Carbon fiber reinforced polymer is widely used in different fields. Reason for the usage of Carbon fiber reinforced polymer is its high strength and stiffness properties compare to traditional metal and its alloys. Carbon fiber reinforced polymer can be used in many industries like aerospace, marine, automobile and sport. For manufacturing of composite parts autoclave is most advance and developed process. In autoclave process, costing of set up, preparation of process and curing time of material is very high. Due to above disadvantages different out of autoclave processes were developed. From that out of autoclave most advance and less researched process is heat transfer fluid method. Using Heat transfer fluid method costing and time can be reduced. Objective of the project is to manufacture Carbon fiber reinforced polymer test specimen using Heat transfer fluid method. After producing the specimen, mechanical properties like tensile strength, compressive strength, inter laminar shear strength and fiber volume ratio will measure. The experimental results of heat transfer fluid method will be compared with autoclave curing and microwave curing to find out better method of manufacturing for Carbon fiber reinforced polymer composite | en_US |
