dc.description.abstract | Improvement and adoption of new technology change customer's perception on product innovation, quality, precision and variety. On base of customer's demand new technologies are developed for various manufacturing application including Injection Molding Machine, CNC Machine Tool, Material Handling equipment etc. Among the numerous systems or components in a manufacturing equipment, motion control system plays an important role and its accuracy directly determines the precision capability of the whole manufacturing system. In an injection molding machine one of the most important components in motion control system is the ball screw; it is the key component to execute the controller command precisely. This dissertation focuses on design of test rig to test ball screw for identifying various parameters under dierent loading condition. In All Electric Injection molding machine ball screw mechanism is used instead of hydraulic system. For the commercially available All Electrical Injection molding machine, ball screws can be supplied by dierent manufacturers having their own standards of operation and reliability due to adaptation of dierent technology. This dissertation focuses on development of test rig to check the reliability and compatibility of various manufacturer's ball screw for all injection molding machine. This test rig will felicitate the user to simulate the actual loading condition of an injection molding machine on ball screw. The described conditions can be used for performing accelerated fatigue testing of ball screw assembly and can help the user to identify the suitable supplier for the ball screw for injection molding machin | en_US |
