Abstract: Size Profile and Prepack Optimization is a tool that allows retailers to: 1) estimate distribution of demand across different sizes (a.k.a size profile) for different levels of merchandise and location, and 2) create optimal prepacks based on the estimated profiles. This document covers the features, requirements and workflow only for size profile (SP).Size profile is estimated at different levels of merchandise and location. The lowest level of estimation is style/color (for merchandise) and store (for location). Size profiles may also be estimated at higher levels of aggregation on both the merchandise and location dimensions (e.g. at subclass-store or style/color-store cluster) depending on the retailer's requirements.
