A Market Survey on Nutraceuticals

Abstract

This survey was conducted to see the general preference and choices of the Indian population for using nutraceutical products in various contexts like for what all uses they prefer to use these products, for which nutrient deficiencies do they use this products, in which dosage forms do they prefer to use this products and in etc. contexts. This survey was also conducted to increase the awareness of general public regarding these nutraceutical products. This survey was also undertaken to observe in which age group the nutraceutical products are majorly used. This survey was also undertaken to see out of the pharmaceutical and the nutraceutical product which are more preferred by the public. This survey contains information regarding the various terminologies like “what are nutraceutical’s”, “what are pharmaceutical’s”, etc. This survey also contains information regarding various uses of nutraceuticals and different kinds of dosage forms used to prepare nutraceutical’s, some common herbal products which can be used as nutraceutical’s, etc. This survey is carried out by circulating a google form to the target audience that is the general Indian population. The google form contains a questionnaire which contains multiple choice based questions as required by the survey. This survey is conducted by taking the responses of 109-165 personnel from the general Indian population for each question. The responses thus obtained are than used to form various bar graphs, pie-charts etc. and then the data is analysed.
