Abstract: | Worldwide Traumatic brain injury is the one of major public health issue challenges. It occurs due to road accident fall from building, accident during playing or on construction site, Military during war etc. The person who are homeless are having highest chances of head trauma and adverse outcome of traumatic brain injury. There is some drug which are being used by physician or surgeon as an assisted therapy. There is some surgical procedure where incision is done into the cranium and because of that the neuron may get damaged and it may or cause some damaged to the peripheral system of the patient. So Now day one of the best trend are being used by the Doctor for the treatment of patient of traumatic brain injury that is Hyperbaric oxygen therapy for traumatic brain injury. In this therapy patient are kept inside the chamber in which 100% oxygen is being delivered to a patient who are being given treatment of Hyperbaric oxygen therapy at a pressure greater than Atmospheric pressure at sea level because of which the dissolve oxygen content get increases inside the blood cell and plasma and linearly haemoglobin get saturated and called haemoglobin bounded oxygen and after the saturation of haemoglobin the Oxygen get available to the plasma and called plasma bounded oxygen and which are being easily available to the to the hypoxic tissue and damaged tissue for their repair and because of which the angiogenesis start and tissue get good amount of oxygen as well as nutrients which are required for their proper functioning. If the damaged has been occur initially then there is also chances of neurogenesis. And plasma bounded oxygen can be delivered to the tissue when the red blood cell is absent as well. Therefore, HBOT produces a much greater the ability to carry oxygen to the damaged tissue or the area where the damaged has been occurred that greatly promotes the driving force of oxygen penetration due to concentration gradients in the tissues. Hyperbaric oxygen not only used for brain trauma it is also being used for the treatment of liver disease, Heart disease, Burn, Wound heart disease etc. |
