Prefabrication involves manufacturing building components in a factory and assembling them on site, offering a faster and more efficient alternative to traditional construction. Mass housing refers to large-scale residential projects aimed at addressing the housing needs of a growing urban population. Types of prefabricated housing include modular homes, panelized homes, and manufactured homes. Globally, mass housing is crucial due to rapid urbanization, and in India, the need is particularly acute due to a severe housing shortage. Prefabricated mass housing reduces construction time, labor costs, and material waste while ensuring higher quality and sustainability. Despite higher initial costs, the long-term benefits make prefab construction an effective solution for mass housing. This study demands to understand if prefab is affordable then conventional construction system for Mass Housing in India.en_US
