dc.description.abstractFundamental component of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) is Total Produc- tive Maintenance (TPM) along with other components like Total Quality Manage- ment (TQM). In this project investigation is conducted in a company manufacturing automotive component to determine the Overall Equipment E ectiveness (OEE) of machine shop.The losses associated with equipment eff ectiveness are identifi ed. Soft- ware for the calculation of OEE is developed in Visual Basic which takes the data from the controller developed in-house. All the pillars of TPM are implemented in a phased manner.en_US
