Abstract: | In this paper, a general solution for stress intensity factors for hole with single/ multiple cusp is presented using Muskhelishvilli’s complex variable method. In order to facilitate application of different type of loading and cutout shape, arbitrary biaxial loading conditions and conformal mapping is used. The effect of material parameters, hole geometry and orientation, stacking sequences of the lamina, fiber orientation angle, and loading condition on stress intensity factor is presented. The analysis is carried out for materials like graphite/epoxy, glass epoxy etc. The results are compared with the existing literature. |
