Abstract: Number of management techniques has been developed over the years to manage the manufacturing. Waste of time, energy, money and overworked staff are common issues faced by any manufacturing company. Overall Equipment Effectiveness is a novel technique to measure the effectiveness of a machine and it truly reduces complex production problems into simple and intuitive presentation of information. It helps in systematically analyzing the process and identifying the potential problem areas affecting the utilization of the machines. In this work software and hardware is prepared to help measure the Overall Equipment Effectiveness of a machine to automate the process of its calculation and to identify the losses associated with equipment effectiveness.
