Abstract: Fixture has direct impact upon welding quality, productivity and cost. Fixture used in welding process for holding different part that has to weld, so the part can be properly weld; other purpose of fixture is to reduce the distortion that is generated during cooling of weld. This paper focused on designing a fixture for manufacturing a hopper by which we can reduce the man power included in the process and also the energy and material used in the manufacturing of the hopper. The other aim of this paper is to find the ways to reduce the time required to manufacture a hopper. By applying new modified fixture design, saving of 33.4% in labour and 62.5% in time of manufacturing can achieved. In this paper static structural analysis is carried out on the loaded structure and at the channel support.
