dc.description.abstractThe Permanent Magnet (PM) Motor technologies have become a more viable option as it offers a high torque density and high efficiency. Presently, permanent magnet motors are widely used in automotive applications. The automotive industry is the largest user of permanent magnet motors. Permanent magnet motor design is proposed in the given thesis which is suitable because of its superior performance in the field of automotive application. The proposed PM motor was designed and simulated using motor solve software. Motor performance parameters were validated using results obtained from simulation software. The proposed motor design not only enhanced the performance of the PM motor but also reduced the cost and size. The simulation work on all parametric analysis of PM motor, even a comparative analysis was also performed between the initially designed motor and proposed design motor.en_US
