dc.description.abstract | Flow analysis in hydro power generation has long been an intensive subject of research. For cost-effective design of different components, highly complex flow, which is turbulent and three dimensional in nature, is to be analyzed critically. The development of the high speed computer and evolution of the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) have a great influence on the design and analysis of these components. This review examines the different investigations being carried out by different investigators in the field of hydro turbines using CFD as a numerical simulation tool. The specific problems related to different turbines are discussed. The latest trends for the costeffective design of hydro turbines are also discussed. | en |
