dc.description.abstractIn this paper, the solution of stress distribution around oval shaped hole is obtained using Muskhelishvili’s complex variable approach. The oval shape is mapped outside unit circle using conformal mapping. The stress functions are obtained by evaluating Schwartz integral. The results are compared with literature and they are in good agreement. The various parameters like effect of stacking sequence, material, and loading angle are studied for symmetrical and unsymmetrical laminates for in-plane loading.en_US
